"This endorsement reflects your commitment to strengthening a culture of life throughout the nation and in the U.S. Congress," National Right to Life President Carol Tobias, Executive Director David O’Steen, and Political Director Karen Cross said in a letter to Keller announcing his endorsement. "All Pennsylvania voters who are concerned with the right to life and with the protection of the most vulnerable members of the human family should vote to send you to Congress, so that you can work to advance vital pro-life public policies."

The letter continues: "In contrast, your opponent, Marc Friedenberg, supports a policy of abortion on demand. He supports using tax dollars to pay for abortion."

National Right to Life's endorsement letter referenced Keller's support for the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, which would protect unborn children at 20 weeks, a point by which the unborn child is capable of experiencing great pain when being killed by dismemberment or other late abortion methods, as well as his opposition to the use of federal funds for abortion and giving hundreds of millions of dollars of government funds to abortion providers.

"Your courageous stand shows your unwavering commitment to protecting the sanctity of innocent human life," Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation PAC Director Maria Vitale Gallagher said. "We commend you for supporting legislation which protects pre-born children and their mothers from the tragic harm of abortion. You have demonstrated tireless dedication to safeguarding the rights of Pennsylvania’s most vulnerable citizens, and we are honored to support you in your bid for election."
